At the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr–San Juan, we not only aim to provide the best day-to-day afterschool experience for our community, we also make sure we are creating lasting memories for our youth and their families. All of our Clubs host several special events throughout the year to celebrate our unity, promote a positive lifestyle, and have some extra fun.
What We Offer
End of Summer Celebration
A day of fun for all of our members who spent the summer with the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr–San Juan. This event celebrates the end of our annual summer program with activities like singing and dancing, and we encourage a great start to the school year by gifting members supplies through local donations.
Lights On Afterschool
All Club sites become an open house for parents and families during this evening. Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide event that celebrates the importance of local afterschool programs in our communities.
Trunk or Treat
Our annual fall celebration for the community. The Main Unit Club site becomes a trunk-or-treat extravaganza, with safe fun for the whole family.
Thanksgiving Dinner
All Club sites host a festive evening to provide a free, full turkey dinner to our Club parents, families, and community.
Christmas Celebration
A Club holiday that includes a Christmas party for members and families, plus a visit from Santa. Each member is able to receive a toy from the Club through our annual Christmas Bingo fundraiser.
Family Fun Nights
We host several family nights throughout the year to bring loved ones together for fun, positive activities that create lasting memories.
Nutrition Series
This periodic nutrition series is open to our community in an effort to keep our families healthy and our futures bright. The classes cover health-conscious recipes and tips from a certified nutritionist.
Teen Nights
Monthly teen nights bring our teen Club members together for a safe and fun evening with friends. Teen Nights are often themed with exciting activities and foods.
